JOHN L. OVERLAND, JR. was born in Ashland, Kentucky in 1960. He is admitted to practice before the courts of the State of New York, the United States District Court (Southern District of New York, Northern District of Texas, and Eastern District of Texas), and is licensed to practice before the courts of the State of Texas.

 John began his legal career in 2001 as an associate bankruptcy attorney following his service as both a police officer and as an Army Reserve officer, and joined the firm after moving to New York to marry in 2005. In addition to supplementing the firm’s traditional litigation practice areas, John represents the firm’s clients in complex bankruptcy matters and in adversary proceedings initiated in the United States Bankruptcy Courts.

 John enjoys running, Dallas Cowboys football, and watching his new son grow.
